Role description:
On a 12 month max term contract, the IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading key projects as part of the PMO function. From ideation through to completion, you will steer the project team in achieving the intended business results. This role is based in Sydney and will see you:
- Work with various stakeholders across the business to identify and manage projects and project scope, including out-of-scope tasks.
- Implement effective governance for tracking of projects and reporting on same, to ensure timely and accurate information for all stakeholders.
- Drive performance to ensure project milestones are met, develop and monitor project schedules.
- Lead complex projects to achieve objectives, financial outcomes, and stated benefits, inspiring team members to excel and managing conflicts effectively.
- Monitor and control project costs to meet financial objectives, utilizing cost management techniques.
- Implement quality assurance processes to drive continuous improvement of quality within the projects.
- Determine project resource requirements and manage resources effectively to plan.
- Utilise effective change control processes to document agreed changes to project scope, time, or budget using MS Project, Jira and Confluence.
- Develop risk management plans and contingency plans to minimize adverse events and address any issues.
